In the Spring of 2019, I got my first blackstone flat top, hibachi style griddle; or "The Cooker," as it eventually became known. We won't bore you with where I got it or what I paid, but let's just say I got a deal! I have been "cooking" for nearly 30 years on one form of "grill" or another; from the ol charcoal smoker grills, to a bigger charcoal grill, to a vertical propane smoker, to the stainless, propane bbq grills. Boring, right? It was not until using my flat top cooker that something inside ignited! I was cooking on the thing all the time...year round... taking it to parties... you name it... cooking for everyone, everywhere, all the time. One day, I was cooking fresh veggies and chicken, and was frankly getting annoyed when the raw chicken kept getting mixed up with my fresh veg... which as we know, cooks a bit faster than chicken... but hey, I had 20 people to cook for, so I needed to do it ALL at one time...hungry folks around !!! So it hit me...why not get a divider for this thing? It will need to be heavy enough to not keep flipping over and to stay where I put it to help keep food separated, and it will need to be strong enough to last a long time and handle the heat from the cooker. Long story short, there were none to be found...anywhere. Flash forward to the next back porch cookout and I was talking over this dilemma with my friend. Since it just so happens that he is a genius at designing "stuff out of metal," I asked him to come up with something. A few weeks later, he DELIVERED ! This thing worked PERFECTLY ! No food mixed together (unless I wanted it to) and this thing was HEAVY! Not some cheap junk made outta beer cans that wouldn't survive a DAY of my cooking! Not long after using it a few times, I posted a photograph on one of the many web "face" pages I follow that are related to flat top cooking... within 5 minutes, people were asking about the "divider thing" on my flat top cooker!!! The rest, as they say, is "history"... So, here we are! SteelDividers.com !!!
